The Artist
Luis Ramos Lucatero is a Mexican painter and sculptor, born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua (1985). He studied sculpture in Caserta, Italy, under the tutelage of Giovanni Battista Marello, and in Rome with Bruno Salvatore. He has presented his work in solo and group exhibitions in the United States, Italy, Belgium, Austria, Slovakia, and Mexico.
Visual artist
In 2010, he participated in the creation of the bronze doors of Verona Cathedral, in collaboration with Giovanni Battista Marello, a project inaugurated by Pope Benedict XVI. He has also developed public works and bronze monuments in various urban spaces.
Classic style
His artistic output, in marble, bronze, and steel, combines a contemporary style with Mannerist and Greco-Roman Classical influences. In oil painting, he has developed an anaglyphic technique that creates a three-dimensional effect for the viewer.
He was a beneficiary of the Municipal Fund for Artists and Creators in 2017 and 2023, and in 2019 he received an Honorable Mention from the Chihuahua Vanguardia Award in Arts and Sciences.
Currently, his work is part of private collections in Mexico, the United States, and Italy.
